No No Song

Ringo Starr

Track #8 from the album Goodnight Vienna

 Main Author's Notes

"No No Song" was originally written by country singer Hoyt Axton and his partner David Jackson.  Ringo sings this with more than a bit of irony, he was far from sober at the time.  In interviews he would describe it as an anti-drug song, its subject facing regret of waking up alone on the floor.  However Ringo was a long way from giving up his own habits, and did not seek treatment for over a full decade later.  He described his years of addiction as being a terribly lonely time of his life.
This song is a part of C3X.
